Traditional kitchen furniture is based around a 5 piece shaker door which consists of a centre panel plus 2 rails and 2 stiles. These can be very simple or more embellished.
You can also choose between frameless or in-frame cabinetry. Frameless or lay-on doors sit in front of the carcass and are attached directly to it. Whereas, an in-frame kitchen is where the door of the cabinet is set within a wooden frame. In-frame kitchens borrow from traditional cabinet furniture construction and conjures up images of traditional craftsmanship and long-term durability.
